We evaluate and rank the best companies that offer merchants the ability to process payments quickly and efficiently. During our analysis, we determine whether the vendors we are recommending offer their merchants competitive rates and fees associated with their processing solutions. Competitive rates are required for merchants to be able to accept payments from their clients while still obtaining a profit from their services.
In addition to featuring competitive rates, merchant processing companies should provide a reliable service which affords merchants the opportunity to accept payments at all times. Having a service that is unreliable can cause a merchant to have to troubleshoot accepting a payment from a client which may in the end prove to prevent them from being able to accept the payment and potentially lose the sale they achieved.
It is important for the payment process to be both quick and efficient to ensure the funds are going to be available at the moment of the client producing the payment. We investigate whether the vendor is offering their service with an efficient process for determining whether a payment is properly authorized or not and relaying that information to the merchant to give them the opportunity to rectify the payment issue.
